How it plays

  1. Pick a format — 60 minutes to half a day, depending on the time you actually have.
  2. Flip the cards — each phase brings its own cards, questions and timing.
  3. Real prompts, real talk — actual work, not demos. Whatever the table decides gets written down and dated.

Why we built it

The same thing kept happening in our sessions: the team leaves convinced on Thursday, and nothing has moved by Monday. What was missing wasn't tool knowledge — it was a format that forces a team to choose one use case, name an owner and set a date.

The five dimensions follow the logic of the MAKIA framework — what real problem are we solving, who uses it, what data, how we measure value, and whether it fits the culture and GDPR. The same filter, put on a table instead of into a report.

It's Makia Labs' first product, and it is built to change with the people who run it: every session report makes us add, rewrite or drop cards. If you facilitate a session, tell us what landed and what fell flat — that's what shapes the next deck.

FAQ

What is AI on Monday Morning?

A facilitated workshop of 55 cards, split across 5 dimensions and 5 phases. You play it as a team, without slides: flip cards, answer concrete questions about your own work, and leave with a dated action plan.

How long does a session take?

Three formats: 60 minutes (Quick Sprint, 1–2 dimensions), 2.5 hours (Standard Workshop, all 5 phases) or half a day (Deep Dive, full dimension work).

Do we need an external facilitator?

No. The deck is built to be run in-house by a manager or project lead — the cards carry the instructions and the timing. Makia Labs can run the first session if a team prefers to start with support.

Play it, or go further

The deck is free to use on its own site. If the workshop surfaces more than one team can handle, the 5-minute maturity self-assessment and the training catalogue pick up from there.
